Magnetic Bookmarks
Magnetic bookmarks have advantages over standard bookmarks. Like all bookmarks, they allow you to mark the place where you are in a book. However, these bookmarks stay put when you open the book. They don't have a tassle or anything hanging out, so when you put your book in a backpack or purse, the tassle doesn't get tangled up with your other stuff.
