White People Love

Welcome to the White People Love Challenge!

You can click on the buttons above begin and end the challenge. To begin you will answer a few questions. To end you will submit a description of what you did in the three steps. You will get a White People Love 3 badges for this, one for each month, which will show up in your profile. We may also give out prizes for the best pictures and stories. We may post your picture on the website and/or have you on a show. However, please make sure, in whatever you submit, that any people of color who were involved are ok with what you submit. Otherwise, just submit a general description of the activity.

For 1-3 months, a white person pledges to:

  1. Take at least one action suggested in the article at this link: 106 Things White People Can Do for Racial Justice

  2. Figure out a way to spend at least 3 hours a week, on average, with a person of color (POC). Time in which you really get to know them individually as a human being. You could:

  • Have play dates with your children and their children.

  • Invite them to game night, the barn dance, your cookout/tailgating party or to go fishing

3. Actively help at least one person of color improve their financial situation. This could be by:

  • Helping them get a job,

  • Teaching them a skill you have,

  • Buy services or products from black/POC-owed businesses

  • Helping schools that are predominantly comprised of POC

  • Make sure any business you own or run provides equal opportunity to black/POC employees in terms of salary, hiring, promotions, and growth opportunities.
